A Second Opinion And A Cup Of Coffee
By Brett Gottlieb and John Mc Kean
Have you ever made a decision, and then second-guessed yourself when life situations changed? While it’s important to revisit goals and strategies for any part of your life, it’s even more critical for your finances.
For example, life changes may have come your way, altering your financial priorities. Or you may be curious about different financial strategies and want to make sure that your plan is still the best one for you. Maybe you are questioning your investment plan with the volatility and confusion of the markets. In order to stay committed to your plan, you need to have complete confidence that it is still working for you and taking you where you want to go.
If you are nodding your head as you read this, here’s what we would like to offer: a cup of coffee and a second opinion.
A Financial Plan Review
By appointment, you’re welcome to come in, sit down, and stay awhile. We’ll ask you to outline your financial goals and review your current plan/401(k)/investment portfolio/insurance, etc., so that we know where you stand, where you want to be, and so that we can get on the same page with your objectives.
We can answer any questions you may have about the market, strategies, or basic financial tips and principles. Then we can apply your concerns, ideas, and aims to your current plan to see how everything lines up.
There’s No Harm In Asking
Once we have a good overview of your financial picture, we will be able to reevaluate and readjust. If we think your investments/insurance, etc., continue to be well suited to your long-term goals despite the market turmoil, we’ll gladly tell you so and send you on your way.
If, on the other hand, we think your plan no longer fits your goals, we’ll explain why, in plain English. And, if you’d like, we’ll recommend some alternatives. It may be that minor adjustments are needed based on your age, current economic woes, or a change in priorities and plans.
It never hurts to take a second look at your financial plan to ensure that it’s up to date, still applicable to all aspects of your life, and ideally suited to help achieve your long-term dreams. Regardless of the outcome of our second look, you will have confidence in your decisions, and in your financial plan.
Either way, the coffee is on us!
